My First Attempt Using A Wire Jig

I managed to make a pair of Queen of Clubs earrings using my new wire jig. Then I attempted a flower bracelet. Quite impressed with myself. Now if only I had some spare time so I could make some more.

Birthday Party Treat

I was invited to a 12 year old girl's birthday party tonight and was asked to make earrings with her guests for an activity. I took an assortment of beads and my beading tools and had a blast watching 8 girls design their own earrings. They were all excited to wear them as soon as they were finished and are looking forward to showing them to friends when they go back to school on Friday. It was fun to share my beading hobby with them and to watch their creativity. Here is a picture of their creations:

"The Value of Giving"

It is better to give than to receive...the value of giving has been instilled in me by my parents. Always ready to lend a hand to help out or to assist someone in need, my mom and dad have always been willing to give.
Friday night their church had a fundraising turkey dinner and auction, I decided at 11:00 pm Thursday night to make something for the auction. So, out came my beads and a design and by 12:30 am I had a Pearl Necklace and Earring set ready to donate. It was a silent auction and after a bidding war, my necklace set went for $62.00 and all in a nights work. The value of giving continues, so pass it on....
